| About The Navy League:
The Navy League of the United States was founded
in 1902 with the encouragement of President Theodore Roosevelt.
The Navy League is unique among military-oriented associations in
that it is a civilian organization dedicated to the education of
our citizens, including our elected officials, and the support of
the men and women of the sea services and their families. You need
not have served in the military to be a member of the Navy League.
The Navy League is the most widely recognized
civilian organization in our country working to strengthen and support
all of our maritime forces.
Who belongs to the Navy League?
Nearly 70,000 patriotic civilian Americans are
Navy League members. Navy Leaguers come from many backgrounds including
former members of the armed services, former flag officers, rising
corporate managers, wives of servicemen, and Academy graduates now
in civilian life.
