COMMUNITY AFFILIATE PROGRAM
|
|
The Navy League is proud to partner with local businesses and organizations who show their support for the Navy League and the Sea Services by their participation in this program. Community Affiliate Membership demonstrates a company's commitment to the local council and a desire to support and advance the objective and purpose of the Navy League. This membership is designed for companies whose business is primarily local rather than national in scope. Community Affiliate membership demonstrates your desire to support young people through our special youth programs and scholarships. During each year of membership, Community Affiliate Member may designate up to three (3) Regular Members, provided such members are otherwise qualified. Designated members enjoy all the privileges of individual membership, including the right to vote and hold office. Council activities range from special military installation visits and ship tours or cruises to a wide variety of social events such as luncheons or dinners during which members of the Sea Services are honored or presented with awards. Council members work together to foster common local interests and to promote maritime issues of national importance. BENEFITS Community Affiliate Membership plaque: Community Affiliate Member receive a handsome and suitably engraved plaque proclaiming their support of our maritime services. Sea Power magazine: Community Affiliates receive monthly issues of the Navy League's full-color magazine Sea Power. The Almanac of Seapower: The January issue of Sea Power magazine is published annually as the Almanac of Seapower, a 300-plus page compendium of photographs, facts, figures and special reports on the status of our maritime forces.
