Adoption and Commissioning Ceremony for the USCGC Sailfish

On Thursday June 3rd our council participated in the commissioning ceremony for the USCGC Sailfish and at that time adopted her, her crew and family members.

In attendance was Vice Admiral Vivien S. Crea, Commander, First Coast Guard District; Captain Craig Bone, Commander, Coast Guard Activities New York; Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Barnaby Bosanquet, Commanding Officer USCGC Sailfish; Barbara M. Richards, Sponsor, Coast Guard Foundation; plus the crew members; their family and friends; honored guests from the United States Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxilliary; New Jersey State Police; members of the press; and representatives from the Navy League.
