Holmden Special Forces Soldier Casualty In Afghanistan
The Department of Defense today announced the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Staff Sgt. William R. Neil Jr., 38, of Holmden, N.J., died March 21 in Sperwan Ghar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, N.C.

The council's sincere condolences go out to William's friends and family members.

If you wish to meet and greet others, the Chateau has a bar to purchase drinks and our dinner will begin at 6:15 pm.

Our guest speaker will be Captain Gary A. Maynard, USN, Commanding Officer of Naval Weapons Station Earle.

The cost for all non-military guests will be $25.00.

Any council members wishing to attend should contact Dan Dermer by email (dermerda@hotmail.com) prior to May 2, 2008.

The dinner choices will be skirt steak, broiled salmon or chicken francaise.
