TAPS!!
It is with deep sorrow that we report the passing
of Lt. (JG) US Naval Sea Cadets Corp. Don Starr. Lt. Starr met an
untimely death on Monday, Dec 27, 2004 while working as a deck hand
on a tugboat in Delaware Bay. As a result of severe icing conditions
he slipped and fell overboard. Lt. Starr contributed immensely to
not only our council as a VP but to the Sea Cadets Kitty Hawk Division,
Fort Dix where he served as Commanding Officer. Our Council and
the Sea Cadets will always remember his many contributions and hard
work. Our Council Officers and members extend sincere sympathy and
condolences to Don's wife, children and family. Services were held
on Sat. Jan 1, 2005. Lt. Starr was eulogized and remembered by his
beloved Sea Cadets, our council members and his many friends in
a very fitting and loving burial service.
